Accessibility statement

Last updated 5 October 2026

ZV Media looks like an old television on purpose, but the picture should never get in the way of using it. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 at level AA, and we test with a keyboard and with the settings below.

What the site supports

  • Every channel, control and dialog works from the keyboard. The arrow keys change channel.
  • A skip link, one main region per page, labelled navigation and visible focus outlines.
  • Nothing plays sound or video by itself. Reels, tracks and performances start only when you press play.
  • Your system’s reduced motion and light or dark preferences are respected by default.
  • The accessibility menu, reached from the Help button, offers larger text, easier reading, high contrast, colour vision modes, reduced motion, underlined links, a bigger focus outline, reading the page aloud and reading what you point at. Reset everything puts it all back.
  • High contrast turns off the scanlines, grain and glow that give the screen its texture.

Where it still falls short

  • The video reels have no captions or transcripts yet.
  • Frames in the archive and on the light table are labelled by album and reel number rather than described.
  • Performances play in YouTube’s player, whose controls we do not control.
